USAF ACADEMY, Colo. Keith Barnett was recently promoted to associate head coach of the Air Force volleyball team, head coach Marc Swindle announced today. Barnett, who also serves as the program’s recruiting coordinator, will enter his fourth season at the Academy in 2018.

“Keith is a skilled coach and a great recruiter,” Swindle said. “He brings a wealth of experience to the program — as a collegiate All-American, a member of our U.S. National Team, and as a professional player overseas. He has been integral to our record-breaking success over the last few seasons. The staff and players are thrilled he is getting the title he deserves.”

A member of the Academy staff since early 2015, Barnett has helped Air Force to some of its most successful seasons in Division I history. He has coached three Falcons to all-conference recognition and seen Air Force reset nine of the program’s Division I records (five all-time, four single-season). In addition, with Barnett on the bench, the Falcons have accounted for double-digit wins in every season and equaled the most Mountain West victories in program history (seven) and the second-most overall victories at the DI level (14). This past season, Air Force collected its first victory over New Mexico in 14 years and its first-ever road wins over Fresno State and UNLV.
