USAV Collegiate Beach Championships
May 11-13, 2017 / Hermosa Beach, California
Day 2 of the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships saw pool play wrap up for each of the six women’s pools, A through F. Of the 24 women’s teams, the top two teams in each pool advance as well as the highest four of the third-place pool finishers, based on their point ratios.
Pepperdine’s top duo Delaney Knudsen and Madalyn Roh continued their success against Pac-12 foes in Pool C, edging USC’s Abril Bustamante and Joy Dennis 21-15, 24-26, 15-13. UCLA’s Madi Yeomans and Lily Justine finished second in the group with a 2-1 record, finishing off group action with a 21-19, 21-19 win over Washington’s Crissy Jones and Tia Scambray.
Knudsen/Roh and Yeomans/Justine advanced to the Round of 16, while Jones/Scambray earned a spot in the Play-In game.
