In the embedded tweet below you can see an image of what the beach volleyball venue would look like if Los Angeles was awarded the 2024 Olympic Games.

This picture was taken at VerdeXchange’s 10th annual Green Marketmakers Conference in Los Angeles where there was a presentation being done about the possible venues/structures that LA 2024 would put into fruition.

Los Angeles indicated earlier that if they were awarded the Games that beach volleyball would be played at Santa Monica Beach. The plan includes putting up a temporary venue that will hold up to 12,000 fans.

At this point in time only Los Angeles in the United States, Budapest in Hungary, and Paris in France are the only three cities remaining in the bidding process for the Games. Today marks the deadline to submit the third and final set of bid documents to the International Olympic Committee, and according to the IOC only those three cities complied.

The IOC will the evaluate the proposal of each city, and visit all three cities.

On September 13th, 2017 in Lima, Peru the official host city will be selected in an election format. Both Los Angeles and Paris have hosted the Olympic Games before. Paris has hosted in twice, once in 1900, once in 1924. Los Angeles has also hosted it twice, once in 1932 and once in 1984. On the contrary, Hungary has never hosted an Olympic Games.
