Just a few weeks into the 2018 season and the top-ranked Long Beach State men’s volleyball program has shattered its own season ticket record.

The Long Beach State ticket office has sold 150 men’s volleyball season tickets, which is more than a 60 percent increase in season ticket sales from a year ago.

The men’s volleyball team’s efforts on the court have surely impacted this number as the team is coming off of its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Semifinals after having captured its first-ever MPSF Tournament Title in 2017. Last season also saw head coach Alan Knipe named AVCA Coach of the Year, while TJ DeFalco took home the AVCA Player of the Year award.

This season, the Beach have been chosen to win the Big West Conference in its inaugural season and look to make a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Long Beach State opened the 2018 season as the No. 2 team in the country, but quickly claimed the top spot winning all seven of its matches thus far. With its 7-0 record, Long Beach State is off to the team’s best start in 10 years.

Even more impressive, Long Beach State has not lost a match inside the Walter Pyramid since March 26, 2016. The Beach are riding an 18-home match winning streak heading into this week’s contests against Stanford (Jan. 26) and No. 13 USC (Jan. 27).

With a quality product on the court, it is no surprise we are seeing a rise in ticket sales.

Fans looking to catch the No.1 team in the nation in action can still purchase season tickets for as low as $55, which comes out to less than $7 per match. Please call or text 562-985-4949 for more information.
