Lewis rejoins this weeks AVCA Division I-II coaches poll top-five after posting two wins this week to #12 Ball State and Fort Wayne. The top-four have remained unchanged after last weeks play, with Ohio State still receiving all 24 first place votes.
Previous top-five, UCLA, drops to #6 after dropping two matches to ranked opponents. The Bruins returned Jake Arnitz to their line up against #2 Long Beach State after he was out with a lower body injury. The Beach were able to sweep the Bruins while then-ranked #14 CSUN took five sets to take down UCLA. With the win over a top-five team, CSUN moved up three positions to #11.
Dropping from #6 to #8 was Stanford, after splitting matches this week. The team dropped their first match to then-unranked USC in a sweep but took five sets to defeat Cal Baptist. After, the sweep over Stanford USC kept their groove going outlasting #10 Pepperdine in five, the Trojans finally crack their way into the top-15, entering in at #14.
