Libero Olivia Diaz Verbally Commits to North Carolina

Olivia Diaz, a 5-5 sophomore libero from Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia, has announced her verbal commitment to the North Carolina TarHeel volleyball team.

A member of the incoming class of 2019, Diaz was named to the AVCA’s Phenom Watch List in 2016. As a sophomore, Diaz registered 4.6 digs per set and made good on 95 percent of her 477 serve reception opportunities. The 6A first team all-area honoree also dished out 1.4 assists per set and served up 52 aces. As a freshman, Diaz served as the libero for the varsity team and garnered Region 6A Freshman of the Year honors after managing 2.4 digs per set, 57 aces and an 89 percent efficiency on serve receive. She also earned 6A second team all-area honors.

As a member of the A5 Volleyball Club, Diaz was named to the 2016 JVA All-National Team Class of 2019, to the 2016 AAU All-America 15-Open team and as an AAU Academic All-American.
