Madison, Holehouse, Roberts Selected as CAA Players of the Week

College of Charleston right side hitter Kennedy Madison, Towson libero Anna Holehouse and Delaware setter Courtnie Roberts were honored by the Colonial Athletic Association for their week nine efforts.

Madison earned Offensive Player of the Week accolades after averaging 4.33 kills per set on a .488 hitting effort in CofC’s sweeps of Hofstra and Northeastern. The junior from Evansville, Indiana, tallied 14 kills against Hostra on Friday and followed with 12 kills on a .556 hitting clip on Saturday.

Holehouse earned her second Defensive Player of the Week nod after racking up 4.00 digs and 1.67 assists per set in Towson’s wins over Elon and William & Mary. The redshirt junior notched 10 digs and six assists against Elon on Friday and closed out the week with 14 digs and four assists on Sunday. The Joppa, Maryland, native upped her season digs tally to 412, making her just the second Towson player to notch 400 or more digs in three different seasons.

Roberts dished out 6.67 assist per set and added 2.00 digs per set in Delaware’s five-set win over William & Mary and 3-1 win over Elon en route to her first Rookie of the Week award. The Krum, Texas, native recorded 28 assists, five digs and three kills against the Tribe on Friday and added a 32-assist, 13-dig double-double against the Phoenix on Sunday. Roberts also added a career-best five kills in the finale.
