Volleyball must already have gotten boring for Maxim Mikhailov. Look at this following list of MVP awards that the 2012 Olympic gold medalist has amassed in the last two years alone:

- 2017 Russian Championship – Most Valuable Player
- 2017 Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner – Most Valuable Player
- 2017 CEV European Championship – Most Valuable Player
- 2018 CEV Champions League – Most Valuable Player
- 2018 FIVB Nations League – Most Valuable Player
Maybe that is why the Russian phenom has decided to diversify his adventures. He recently announced on Instagram that he opened up a hotel in the Russian city of Sochi:
“I decided not to delay it and share with you my ventures outside of sport. The project I am talking about is the brainchild of my family, a hotel in Sochi with the beautiful name “Coral Reef.” 🏖 However, this is not simply a hotel. It embodies our family values, love of sport, active rest and proper nutrition💪🏻. We are often faced with the fact that it’s difficult to keep our training regime on vacation, and to find the usual healthy food for ourselves and our children, a big problem. Therefore, in our “Coral Reef” we have provided everything for proper active rest.”
Sochi is a culture rich city at the margins of the Black Sea. So if you are ever visiting, why not book a room?
