Mortimer Jordan’s Treadaway Dies In Fatal Car Crash

Mortimer Jordan’s head volleyball coach Kelsey Treadaway has died from her injuries after being involved in a car crash on February 25. Treadaway was the daughter of Alabama state representative Allen Treadaway.

Treadaway was traveling on Interstate 65 near mile marker 304 in Good Hope, Alabama when she was struck from behind by Brandon Adam Hamm. Also in the car was the head softball coach, Shawn Maze, who was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

It was reported by state troopers that Treadaway was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Hamm left the of the incident but was later identified and booked at the Cullman County Detention Center on felony leaving the scene of an accident. The crash is still being investigated by Alabama State Troopers.

In 2017, Treadaway led the Blue Devils to an 18-9 overall record.
