NCAA Adding Beach Volleyball to Hall of Champions Exhibit

The NCAA Hall of Champions is almost done adding the exhibit for beach volleyball, where they will recognize the future greats of the organization’s 24th, and newest, sport.

The NCAA first gave beach volleyball full and formal recognition last season, where the women of USC won the first-ever official NCAA title. Among those who should be featured prominently in the exhibit will be Sarah Hughes, a 3-time All-American, will be a strong candidate for the first inductee to the newly-constructed honorary space. In her 3 years at USC, she’s a 3-time AVCA All-American and had a personal undefeated record with partner Kelly Claes last season. In total, Hughes has a 122-7 record in 3 seasons at USC, and is a member of the USA beach volleyball National Team.

The NCAA Hall of Champions has an exhibit for each of (soon to be) 24 sports on the first level, with triva challenge, current team rankings, video highlights, and artifacts donated by schools around the nation.

The second level features interactive exhibits where fans can compete both virtually and in real life – including a 1930s-era basketball gym.

The organization Tweeted out a sneak preview of the exhibit earlier this week:
