NDSU Alumna Jorgensen Named Director of Operations

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University head women’s volleyball coach Jennifer Lopez today announced Jessica Jorgensen has joined the staff as the director of volleyball operations.

“I am excited that Jess is going to continue to be a part of our volleyball program,” said Lopez. “She truly was a great player to coach and I look forward now being able to work alongside her.”

Jorgensen, a native of Blaine, Minn., completed her four-year career in 2017. She connected for a .249 hitting percentage playing middle hitter in 94 matches, including 59 starts, and 326 sets for NDSU. Jorgensen averaged 2.47 kills and 2.04 points, while recording 157 total blocks.

Jorgensen graduated in December 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. She was a regular on the Summit League honor roll and earned a spot on the Commissioner’s List.

NDSU finished the 2017 season with a 19-9 record including 9-5 in the Summit League under the direction of first-year head coach Jennifer Lopez. The Bison advanced to the league tournament semifinals for the ninth time.

North Dakota State returns seven players from last season including Summit League all-tournament outside hitter McKenzie Burke, a 5-foot-10 senior from Osceola, Wis.
