HISTORY WITH THE TERRAPINS AND BOILERMAKERS

The Buckeyes own an 8-3 edge in the all-time series versus Maryland, first facing off back in 1978. The two teams split a home-and-home series a season ago. Ohio State dropped a 3-2 decision in College Park before earning a 3-0 sweep in St. John Arena.

Ohio State and Purdue have a storied history dating back to 1974. The two teams have battled on the hardwood 85 times with the Buckeyes holding a slight 43-42 edge in the series. The Scarlet and Gray claimed a five-set win last season in Columbus to break the series tie. The last three meetings between the Buckeyes and Boilermakers have gone the distance.

It was a big weekend for rookie Ayanna Swan as Ohio State wrapped up its non-conference slate hosting the Buckeye Invitational. Through the tournament’s three matches, Swan averaged a team-best 3.90 kills per set.

FINAL NON-CONFERENCE TUNE-UP

Non-conference action ended on a high note as Ohio State swept Dayton in the finale of the Buckeye Invitational. Ayanna Swan and Luisa Schirmer were both named to the all-tournament team for their efforts.
