Former Ohio State outside hitter Brooke Bailey will join the Clemson Women’s Volleyball team for the 2018 season as a transfer. Bailey was a sophomore this past season with Ohio State, but played in limited action and may have earned a redshirt, which would give her three years instead of two left.

Standing at 6’2″, Bailey attended Ohio State after graduating from Jackson High School. In her freshman season in 2016, Bailey played in 27 matches and made seven starts for a Sweet 16 team. She also notched a total of 47 kills, 20 digs and 14 blocks.

This past season, for a 15-16 Ohio State bunch, Bailey appeared in six matches early in the year with one start. In total, she saw 10 sets of action but transferred early from the Big Ten to the ACC.

Clemson finished 7-25 this past season and 2-18 in ACC play. They had five players with some sort of outside hitter listing on their roster in 2017 – all of which have eligibility to be back in the fold with Bailey at the position in 2018.
