A balanced offensive attack — five different Tigers had between five and 10 kills — led the Princeton men’s volleyball team to a 3-0 home win over Charleston in the first of two matches between the EIVA programs this weekend in Dillon Gym.
Freshman Parker Dixon, only two weeks removed from earning AVCA National Player of the Week honors, led Princeton with 10 kills and added four digs, but the middle combination of Junior Oboh and George Huhmann continues to power Princeton, which remained second in EIVA play. Oboh had eight kills without an error (.667) and added four blocks, while Huhmann had seven kills and a team-best five blocks in the 25-18, 25-23, 25-21 victory.
Freshman Greg Luck added six kills and hit .312, while junior Kendall Ratter added five kills, seven digs and three blocks. Senior Jonah May paced the offense with 32 assists.
Princeton is now 7-7, 5-2 in the EIVA, and will host Charleston again Saturday at 4 pm in Dillon Gym. The match will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
