OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Parker Dixon – Princeton – 6-6 – OH – Freshman – Dallas, Texas
Freshman Parker Dixon has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 4.38 kills/set and hitting .441 in a 2-0 week for Princeton in EIVA action which included an upset victory against the reigning EIVA Champions, #15 George Mason. Dixon began the week with a career-high 22 kills while hitting .515 in a 3-1 win over NJIT. Against the Patriots, Parker added 13 kills in a 3-1 victory while hitting .346. Dixon is currently 10th in the EIVA with 115 kills this season and his .287 hitting percentage is 7th-best in the league. This is Parker’s first EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
George Huhmann – Princeton – 6-11 – MB – Freshman – St. Louis, Mo.
Freshman George Huhmann has been selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after recording a career-high nine total blocks in a 3-1 upset victory against the reigning EIVA Champions, #15 George Mason. Huhmann sat out Tuesday’s match due to an illness, but came back to have the match of his young career with the nine total blocks against the Patriots which included a career-best four solo blocks. Offensively he would add 10 kills and no errors on 10 attempts. George is currently 7th in the EIVA with 0.84 blocks per set as he now has eight solo blocks this season, 4th-best in the league. This is Huhmann’s first EIVA Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2017. 2017
