Minnesota recruit Kennedi Orr has committed to Nebraska as part of the class of 2021. Currently a freshman in high school, Orr attends Eagan High School and plays with Northern Lights on the club side.

Orr is now taking over at Eagan High School after her sister, Gabrielle Orr, who helped lead the school to a state championship last year and is now at Iowa. Both setters, Kennedi looks to come out of her sister’s shadow as already she has assisted in her team’s 10-1 strong start and third-place Minnesota state ranking per MaxPreps.

Amazingly, although Orr is now the lone sister on the team and a star to look at, it isn’t her first season with the team. She joined the squad in just seventh grade and even posted a triple-double last year in the state championship match with her sister.

Standing at 5’11” as just a freshman in high school, Orr owns a 108″ block and 120″ approach according to her club’s bio page. Northern Lights has been one of the top clubs in the state of Minnesota and has produced plenty of high-level talent as it appears Orr is no different.

Nebraska’s 2017 roster features a pair of setters, although by 2021 both are on pace to have graduated. By then Nebraska will likely have other setter recruits in the program as well.

Orr now joins two other 2021 commits for Nebraska as they also have Lindsay Krause and Alexis Rodriguez giving their 2021 freshman plan quite the early start.
