The senior outside hitter leads the Jayhawks in kills per set (3.59) and also has added a team-best 25 aces and 2.59 digs per set. The two-time All-Big 12 and 2016 AVCA All-American has managed double-digit kills in 19 of the team’s 23 matches, but her absence will impact the team both offensively and defensively. The Pflugerville, Texas native also has notched 12 double-digit dig tallies, including 10 to round out double-doubles.
The Jayhawks currently sit in third place in the Big 12 standings behind Texas (10-0) and Baylor (9-2). Meanwhile, TCU is eighth in the conference.
With a win on Saturday, Kansas will reach the 20-win milestone for the season, marking the program’s third straight.
Rigdon’s day to day status comes at as opportune time as is possible for the Jayhawks with the next match coming against last place Kansas State (2-9) ahead on Wednesday. A Nov. 11 match against No. 18 Baylor and a Nov. 15 matchup with No. 4 Texas looming after that.
