Beavers Sweep Bears in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. – The Oregon State volleyball team dominated California through two sets before hanging on to secure the sweep Sunday afternoon. The win marks the seventh straight win for the Beavers over the Bears.

It was a close game through the mid-point of the first set with the Beavers leading 14-12. However, a 9-1 run behind the serving of Kayla Ellis and Maddie Goings put the opening set out of reach of the Bears.

In the second set, the Beavers took an early 10-5 lead before Cal stormed back with a four-point run to close the gap to 16-14. Following an OSU timeout, Kory Cheshire recorded back-to-back kills to open the lead to 19-16.
