OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeff Hogan – Saint Francis (Pa.) – 6-4 – Opp – Senior – Northern Cambria, Pa.
Senior Jeff Hogan has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 3.9 kills/set on a .419 hitting percentage in a 2-1 week for Saint Francis (Pa.) at the CBU Invitational. Hogan recorded 20 kills in a 3-1 loss to Concordia (Calif.), nine kills in a 3-0 sweep of Cal Baptist, and 18 kills in a five-set victory against Lindenwood. Jeff also finished with two service aces and two assists as defensively the senior completed the week with eight blocks and 13 digs. Hogan was named to the CBU Invitational All-Tournament Team as he leads the EIVA in kills (47) and hitting percentage (.419) after the first week of matches. This is Jeff’s first EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Keith Kegerreis – Saint Francis (Pa.) – 6-6 – MH – Junior – Chambersburg, Pa.
Junior Keith Kegerreis has been selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after recording 13 total blocks in a 2-1 week for Saint Francis (Pa.) at the CBU Invitational. Kegerreis began the 2017 season with two blocks and four digs in a 3-1 defeat to Concordia (Calif.). The junior then followed with four blocks in a 3-0 victory against Cal Baptist and capped the week with seven blocks in a five-set win against Lindenwood. This is Keith’s first EIVA Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
