2017 CEV EUROPEAN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Serbian women’s national team wrapped up their stellar pool play performance with a 3-0 start and are now on the road to Baku from Ganja to take part in the quarterfinals. After winning Pool D of the tournament, the team advanced straight into the quarterfinal round, bypassing the playoff stage that is happening the next two days.

One of the team’s outside hitters, Tijana Malesevic takes us through Serbia’s journey from Ganja to Baku, where the quarterfinals will take place. In the past three matches, Malesevic has not been a huge contributor for the team, putting down just 15 points.

Leading the way for the Serbians is Tijana Boskovic with 60 points followed by Stefana Veljkovic with 39.

The Serbian squad will take on the winners of the Belarus/Czech Republic match that is happening right now.
