Springfield Tops Opening 2018 Men’s Division III Rankings

The 2017 NCAA Men’s Division III champions, Springfield have topped the season-opening poll with 20 first-place votes ahead of Stevens who has earned 2 first-place nods. Stevens slide in front of the runners-up SUNY New Paltz who enters 2018 with the third place ranking while Vassar and NYU round out the top five.

Vassar was the season-ending #5 who moved up to #4 while NYU jumped up to #5 from #7. Wentworth, who finished 2017 with the #4 rank has fallen back to the #10 spot. Jumping up is Juniata to #6 from #10 while Kean and MIT move up two spots each to #11 and #12, respectively. Falling back significantly is Hunter from #8 to #13.

Marymount enters the top-15 tied at #14 with Mount St. Joseph.
