The No. 8 seed Penn State women’s volleyball team advanced to the third round of the 2018 NCAA Volleyball Tournament with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-16) sweep of the Orange of Syracuse on Saturday evening in Rec Hall.
Minnesota’s Samantha Seliger-Swenson was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Co-Setter of the Year, while Penn State’s Kendall White was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. Illinois’ Jordyn Poulter also garnered Co-Settter of the Year nods, while Penn State’s Jonni Parker earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.
