VolleyMob first, second and third team All-America honors recognize the top three teams from courts 1 through 5. UCLA’s Megan McNamara/Nicole McNamara (Court 1), Lily Justine/Sarah Sponcil (Court 2), Izzy Carey/Megan Muret (Court 5), Hawaii’s Carly Kan/Laurel Weaver (Court 3) and Pepperdine’s Skylar Caputo/Alexis Filippone (Court 4) make up the first team.
Campbell, Micheletti Claim First Pac-12 Pair of the Week Honor for Cal
Junior Grace Campbell and freshman Maddie Micheletti made history on Tuesday as the duo earned the University of California beach volleyball program’s first ever Pac-12 Beach Pair of the Week nod.
Stanford Edged Cal; Hawaii, LBSU, FSU, Georgia State Go 2-0 Sunday
No. 13 California was a part of both of the Top 20 upsets in Sunday’s beach action. The Bears first edged out No. 4 USC 3-2, before falling to No. 14 Stanford by the same score later in the day at the Pac-12 North Invitational. The Cardinal wrapped up the day with a 5-0 win over Washington.
Cal Beach Preps For Busy Stanford Tournament
The Cal beach volleyball team takes a three-match winning streak into the Stanford Tournament, where the Golden Bears will have a busy weekend with four duals during a span of about 30 hours.
