UCLA junior Nicole McNamara was voted Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Player of the Year and is part of the duo that was voted Pac-12 Pair of the Year with her twin sister Megan McNamara, the Conference office announced today. USC’s Tina Graudina was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year while UCLA’s Stein Metzger was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year for the second-straight year.
Four teams remain at the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship, including top-seeded and top-ranked UCLA, No. 2-seed USC and No. 3-seed Cal. No. 6 Washington played spoiler, recording an upset over host-and No. 4-seed Stanford to advance to the final day and get a chance to compete for the Pac-12 title.
No. 12 Stanford will face the Golden Bears for the second time in less than a week when it travels to Berkeley Saturday for its regular season finale.

No. 13 California was a part of both of the Top 20 upsets in Sunday’s beach action. The Bears first edged out No. 4 USC 3-2, before falling to No. 14 Stanford by the same score later in the day at the Pac-12 North Invitational. The Cardinal wrapped up the day with a 5-0 win over Washington.
