Taylor Leath of North Carolina Named ACC Player of the Year

Player of the Year: Taylor Leath, University of North Carolina
Defensive Player of the Year: Sasha Karelov, Duke University
Setter of the Year: Kamalani Akeo, University of Pittsburgh
Freshman of the Year: Julia Scoles, University of North Carolina
Coach of the Year: Joe Sagula, University of North Carolina

Tar Heel Taylor Leath was awarded the Player of the Year. She helped the North Carolina offense with her .282 hitting percentage. Leath is the first NC player to win the Player of the Year award since 2005, and the first Tar Heel ever to be named the AVCA National Player of the Week ad ESPNW Player of the Week.

Julia Scoles, another North Carolina team member, was named Freshman of the Year. She is the first true freshman in program history to take the ACC Player of the Week honors.
