COLLEGE STATION, Texas – In conjunction with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Texas A&M volleyball team will hold its annual “Dig Pink” fundraiser match on Friday, Oct. 19, when the Aggies take on the Tennessee Lady Vols at Reed Arena at 6:30 p.m.
We are asking for the support of the 12th Man as we set out to bring awareness to a disease that affects so many and raise funds to benefit The Side-Out Foundation. All funds raised will be donated to The Side-Out Foundation and applied toward a clinical trial specifically for patients with Stage 4 breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease and the least funded area of research.
To donate, fans are encouraged to visit the online fundraiser page.
“Our Dig Pink event means so much to our program because we have all either been directly impacted by breast cancer or will be in the future,” Texas A&M head volleyball coach Laura “Bird” Kuhn said. “This is such a great cause for awareness and support of those in the fight.”
If you are a survivor or currently undergoing treatment, we would like to offer you a complimentary ticket to the match on October 19. Please contact us at 12thManMarketing@athletics. tamu.edu for more information on these special tickets. In addition, all fans wearing pink to the match can purchase tickets at the entrance for a discounted rate of just $3 each.
Additionally, fans can enjoy half off soft pretzels from concessions throughout the match. Also stick around after the match for autographs on the court from the team.
