SEGUIN, Texas — Tiffany Davis, Texas Lutheran University’s head women’s volleyball coach for the last 12 seasons, has resigned as head coach, TLU Director of Athletics Bill Miller announced Monday.
A search for the next TLU head women’s volleyball coach has begun.
Davis and her lead assistant coach, her sister Krystle Weidner, each resigned on Monday.
Davis spent 15 volleyball seasons at TLU. She served as head coach for 12 and as an assistant coach for three.
Davis compiled an overall coaching mark at TLU of 214-146 (.594) with a conference mark of 131-58 (.693). She is second on the TLU Volleyball all-time wins list.
In Davis’s time as head coach, the Bulldogs spent seven years in the American Southwest Conference and the last five seasons in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Davis led TLU to the 2007 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Regional Championship Tournament in Sherman, Texas.
Davis coached the Bulldogs to the 2007 ASC Championship and to ASC West Division Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. The Bulldogs finished as the ASC Championship runner-up in 2010.
The Bulldogs of 2017 compiled an overall record of 17-17 with a mark of 8-6 in the SCAC. TLU posted a fourth-place finish in the 2017 SCAC Volleyball Championship.
