2018 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women

The Netherlands, Italy, and Russia built on their opening day wins by going up 2-0 today. As the pools slowly take up shape, there is no doubt that these teams are the clear podium favorites. Here is the day’s recap:

After a commanding opening day win against France, Slovakia was no match for Turkey. Here is coach Michal Matušov’s reaction after the game:

“Today we played with no passion, this was our problem. If we don’t start playing good, with our hearts, after the sixteenth point in the different sets, we can’t do good against strong teams like Turkey.”
