Czech setter Lucie Mühlsteinová, who plays for the club from Lodz in Poland’s top women’s volleyball league, will sit out next season to rehab an injury, the club has announced.
The 33-year old has spent the last two seasons in Lodz, suffered a knee injury on March 10th in the semi-final of the Polish Cup last season. She was taken off on a stretcher, and her team eventually fell 3-1 against Enea PTPS Piła
Mühlsteinová has been a member of the Czech National Team since 2009, which includes being a member of the European League since 2009.
Without their starting setter, Lodz still finished as the runners-up of Poland last season, eventually losing 2 of 3 matches against Chemik Police in the finale of the playoffs.
The team has conscripted Ewelina Polak and Pavla Vincourova as their setters for next season.
Before her injury, Mühlsteinová was rated as the top setter in the Polish league for the 2017-2018 season.
