It took just one tournament in 2018 for Trevor Crabb and Sean Rosenthal to call it quits this season. The duo took to the sand at the FIVB four-star World Tour event in The Hague, finishing in a disappointing 33rd place.

Crabb/Rosenthal have only been together for one year, starting their partnership at the beginning of the 2017 season. In their time together, the duo competed in six World Tour tournaments, with their highest finish coming at the Xiamen event when they finished in fifth place.

With the split just happening, Crabb has already found a new partner in Sylar DelSol for the five-star event in Fort Lauderdale. The event will take place from February 27 to March 4 and marks the first of the FIVB Major Series events of the 2018 season. DelSol has only competed in one World Tour event in his career which came last November with Adam Roberts, finishing in 25th place.

Rosenthal, on the other hand, has not selected a new partner for the coming season. He has had a number of top partners in his career, including Jake Gibb, Phil Dalhausser and Theo Brunner
