The Oral Roberts volleyball team made the postseason for the first time since 2006 last fall, earning a berth in the NIVC tournament after finishing second in Summit League play.

After the season, the team gathered to record a thank you video for their fans and administration for their support in 2017. Each team member did her part, but then it came time for freshman middle blocker Morgan Blomquist to take the microphone.

Watch the surprise in her face as well as those of her teammates as they learn that she is now a scholarship athlete. Neither Blomquist nor her teammates knew about the plan to announce the scholarship.

Blomquist started every match in 2017. The Plano, Texas, native averaged 1.21 kills per set, while hitting .262 and putting up 0.71 blocks per set, second most on the team.
