Although it suffered a scare at the first set of the game, Turkey had no trouble defeating Italy 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21) to win the Gloria Cup crown this Sunday. Hande Baladin led the way with 19 points, while Paola Egonu had 20 points in the losing effort. At the end of the match, Turkish captain Eda Erdem Dündar was chosen’s as the competition’s MVP.

Russia x Azerbaijan
Russia was able to secure 2nd place by beating Azerbaijan 3-0 (25-21, 25-20 and 25-18). Ksenia Parubets led the way with 10 points, while Polina Rahimova had 15 points in the losing effort.
