Class of 2019 recruit Jenna Magner has committed to the University of Tampa to play with the beach volleyball program. Magner would join the school for the 2019-2020 school year with her first season in the sand as a freshman set for the spring of 2020.

Magner will be a senior once the school year starts at Panther Creek High School in Cary, North Carolina. As a right side and defensive specialist she recently helped the team to a 16-7 record as a junior in which the team made it to the third round of the Class 4A State Championship.

Individually, Magner recorded 174 digs (2.6 per set), 35 aces (0.5 per set) and 26 kills (0.4 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile page.

Her player profile for Southern Sand can also be seen here for her results in the sand. Over the past two seasons she has collected four top two finishes with one more in the top three and another in the top five. This past season her best outing came as a runner-up with partner Victoria Schenk at the ESPL North Carolina (Apex) event for Girls 18U.

The Spartans beach team is coming off of a 14-10 season in 2018 – their first ever as a program – in which they finished fourth at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships.
