#VolsMLK Tennessee Volleyball Players Discuss Diversity On MLK Day

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a day to celebrate diversity and how far our country has come in regards to civil rights for all.

Tennessee volleyball player, Breana Jeter, discusses the impact that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has made on her. Being a student-athlete at Tennessee University, a school with a lot of history and diversity, Jeter explains her feelings on race and diversity.

“He paved a way for African-Americans and other minorities that I don’t think that he wasn’t such a vital piece of our history that I would be here today, I think there would still a lot of racism, we would still be oppressed as a race,” said Jeter.
