Super-star women’s beach pair Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross called it quits last week, but Walsh Jennings wants to set the record straight.
In a Facebook post made on April 6, Walsh Jennings explains that the media has taken her and Ross’ break up in a completely wrong light and were “pretty harsh.” Walsh Jennings wants to set the record straight that it was not a harsh split between the two, but that she looks to Ross as a true blessing in her life.

Walsh Jennings has no problem speaking her mind and setting the record straight with the public on most situations involving herself and her career – which she still intends on continuing through the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
On April Ross’ side of things, she struggled with the decision but will remain positive looking into the future.
In a statement to the FIVB, Ross said, “It sucks for sure. Obviously, I love playing with Kerri and we had a great run and I respect her a lot, but it’s definitely not in the cards for this season.”
Ross will play one more AVP tournament in Austin, Texas before joining forces with Lauren Fendrick. The two have played together twice in their careers – first at the junior level and in two tournaments in 2015 when Walsh Jennings was injured. The two’s commitment as a team does not extend past the 2017 season, but both are taking aims at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Both Walsh Jennings and Ross’ futures are up in the air at this point, but both want the world to know their admiration for one another with the time they played together.
