The Utah Utes’ women’s volleyball team had an impressive October – going 5-3 in the toughest conference in the country, the Pac-12, including wins over #7 Stanford, #13 Washington State, and #24 USC. Each of their three losses was to teams ranked in the top 25, including a narrow 5-set loss to #23 Oregon.
Adora Anae, VolleyMob’s last National Player of the Week for October, averaged a double-double for the month, with more than 22 kills and 14 digs per game across the Utes’ 8 games.
The Utes have carried their success into November so far, with a 3-0 sweep on Friday against Cal, but they’ll put that on the line on Saturday with a rematch against now-#13 Stanford at home. The Utes will expect to face at least 4 more ranked teams (possibly more) in the next month as they battle for seeding in the NCAA tournament (in which they’ve likely already sealed their spot).
