The USA Men are back at it this evening, vying for a spot at the 2017 World Championships by participating in the 2017 NORCECA Men’s World Qualifier in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The squad will take on Guatemala to begin their journey, starting at 7 PM (MDT) or 9 PM (EST).
The Americans are coming off a fourth place at the 2017 FIVB World League and FIVB Grand Champions Cup. The World League was a showing of many of the younger players, with one or two veterans sprinkled in, while they were at full strength at the Grand Champions Cup – but so was every other team. Currently, Team USA is the top-ranked NORCECA team in the world, with Canada falling right behind them at #2.
Team USA will carry a 14 player roster at the tournament, using Matt Anderson, teams star player, while David Smith, Taylor Sander, Micah Christenson, Kawika Shoji among some will accompany him on the floor.
