The Universite Laval Red and Gold (Rouge et Or, in their native French) toppled the Montreal Carabins 3-1 in a game on Saturday evening at home, marking their 3rd-straight win in Canadian USport competition.

The game ended in spectacular fashion, when on Match point, le Rouge et Or dug out a monster point that involved big blocks, big digs, players jumping over boards, and about a 70-foot pinpoint shot that eventually to a Vincente Ignacio Parraguirre Villalobos kill to finish the game – one of 26 kills for the Chilean in the four setter.

The win leaves Laval at the top of the provincial standings with a 9-2 record.
