This Week in the Top 25: Week 13 Features Four Head-to-Head Meetings

0 Wendy Mayer | November 14th, 2017 | ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, College - Women's Indoor, Conference USA, Missouri Valley Conference, News, Pac 12, SEC

Out of 58 contests involving VolleyMob Top 25 teams or vote getters, eight feature both opponents from the ranks. Four matches are head to head battles between Top 25 teams, with the first two coming on Wednesday.

The first head to head matchup features No. 4 Texas, which has a stranglehold on the Big 12 Conference at 13-0, playing host to No. 13, which is looking to rebound after a loss to Baylor last weekend.

No. 11 USC brings a five-match win streak into its Wednesday meeting with No. 3 Stanford. The Cardinal, which still owns a three-match lead in the Pac-12 race despite losing its first league match last Wednesday, will then take on No. 20 UCLA on Thursday.

A key match in the ACC race is on Friday’s slate as N.C. State and Louisville, both vote getters, face off in Louisville. The Wolfpack and Cardinals both sit atop the ACC alongside Pittsburgh.

Also set for Friday are two contests between ranked teams and vote getters: No. 19 Wisconsin at Illinois and No. 8 Washington at Oregon State.

The Illini continue their trek through the rigorous Big Ten slate with a Saturday contest against No. 6 Minnesota.

The week concludes with a Sunday afternoon matchup between No. 8 Washington and No. 16 Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.

Be sure to check the VolleyMob TV listings to see which contests are available for viewing via TV or online streaming.
