The former Team USA standout lived one of her best professional seasons in her lone campaign at Osasco, back in 2011-12, winning Superliga’s title. Since then, Osasco had to see its bitter rival SESC/RJ win 5 titles in a row. Still to this day, Osasco‘s fans are crazy about Hooker, and it is not hard to spot a fan wearing her jersey in one of the team’s games.
Hooker starred in both volleyball and track and field at the University of Texas. She was named an AVCA First Team All American in 2008 and 2009, while also winning the NCAA outdoor high jump championship in 2006, 2007, and 2009. As for her pro career, this will be her fourth season in Brazil’s Superliga, having also enjoyed stints in China, Puerto Rico, and Russia.
Hooker published a picture in her personal Instagram page with a t-shirt donning Osasco‘s current team motto: “Osasco More Than Ever.” However, the content is blocked to non-friends.
