The AVCA has announced the 14 recipients for the Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship, which awards coaches money to pay for convention registration and hotel costs in order to attend their first AVCA Convention.
“On behalf of the committee I would like to congratulate the scholarship recipients,” said Coaches 4 Coaches Committee Chair and Morehead State head coach Jaime Gordon. “This was an incredibly talented pool of applicants and a difficult process. We are confident that these 14 represent the passion and commitment of their peers, and will be outstanding ambassadors for the Coaches 4 Coaches program. I am grateful for the time and thorough commitment that the committee has dedicated to these applicants, as well as the many individuals that give so generously to make this program possible.”
This is the 10th year for the program.
Recipients include Barnstable High School (Hyannis, Massachusetts) coach Marylou Robles and Lincoln Land Community College assistant Tiffany Sunderlin, who were picked as part of the AVCA’s affiliates the Massachesetts Girls Volleyball Coaches Association and the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Associations respectively. Robles is a junior varsity and boys head coach and assistant varsity coach at Barnstable.
The other 12 recipients are:

- Kajetan Borecki, Volunteer Assistant – Florida
- Andrew Browne, head boys coach – Evans High School (Orlando, Florida)
- Megan Burns, Sr., Libero – Nova Southeastern
- Ali Butcher, Volunteer Assistant – Xavier
- Josh Comer, Volunteer Assistant – Troy
- Ashley Dusek, Volunteer Assistant – Texas A&M
- Sarah Gomish, Sr., Outside Hitter – Bloomsburg (PA)
- Amie Held, Graduate Assistant – Georgia State
- Ryan Raycraft, Volunteer Assistant – Illinois Wesleyan
- Daria Robinson, Graduate Assistant – Delaware
