PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly volleyball honors for the week ending on November 18.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Thompson * R-Jr. * OH/RS * Cincinnati
Thompson picked up her seventh conference weekly volleyball accolade and 11th of her career as the outside and right side hitter continues to dominate at the net. Thompson led the Bearcats through another 2-0 weekend, averaging 6.88 kills and 7.25 points per set while hitting an impressive .391. She had 29 kills, nine digs and three blocks in a five-set win over Tulane and 26 kills on 43 swings while hitting .558 in a three-set victory over Memphis. Thompson continues to lead the nation in kills and points this season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Elizabeth Kline * Sr. * L/DS * UConn
Kline helped the Huskies achieve their first weekend sweep since August, anchoring the back row with 6.83 digs per set. Kline has reached double-digit digs in nine-consecutive matches and bumped 27 against Tulsa in a sweep victory on Friday. She returned to the court Sunday and had 14 digs in a second-straight 3-0 victory against Wichita State.

WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Kristina Fisher * So. * OH * UCF
Fisher led UCF’s offense through a 2-0 weekend, as the Knights sealed the conference’s outright 2018 title, extending their winning streak to 23-straight matches, remaining undefeated in conference play at 17-0. Fisher averaged 5.29 kills and 2.43 digs per set with five blocks and a .297 hitting percentage. She had 20 kills with a perfect reception percentage in a sweep at SMU and a double-double of 17 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 win at Houston. UCF completed a perfect conference road slate with a 9-0 American record in away matches.
Jade Tingelhoff * Sr. * S * Cincinnati
Tingelhoff paced her team’s offense through two wins over the weekend, averaging 9.88 assists per set and 3.75 digs per set. Her passing guided the Bearcats to a five-set win on Friday, as she recorded a double-double of 43 assists and 23 digs with a perfect reception percentage. Cincinnati then hit .417 in a 3-0 win over Memphis on Sunday, as Tingelhoff accounted for 36 assists, seven digs and was perfect in the back row on serve-receive.
Emma Turner * Sr. * S * UConn
Averaging 9.83 assists per set, Turner also scored on 12 kills without an error, registering a .571 hitting percentage through the Huskies’ weekend sweep. Turner had 29 assists, eight digs and dumped six kills against Tulsa and added another 30 assists, six kills and 17 digs for a double-double against Wichita State. UConn hit .300 in the win over the Shockers to complete a 2-0 weekend.
Jaeden Brown * So. * MB * USF
Brown was a force at the net, averaging 2.29 blocks per set and earning a double-double of 12 kills and 10 blocks against SMU on Sunday. She also had six stuffs in a 3-0 win at Houston on Friday, totaling 16 over the weekend. Brown leads The American with 139 blocks this season.
Taylor Horsfall * Jr. * L * Tulsa
Horsfall was pivotal along the back line, averaging 6.50 digs per set on the weekend while also racking up 39 digs. In Sunday’s match against Temple, Horsfall showed her offensive prowess, playing a set at outside hitter, and managing a career-high five kills on a .308 clip.
