Recently, Asseco Resovia announced they fired head coach Roberto Serniotta who only led the team for seven months.

In May 2017, Serniotta joined Asseco Resovia by signing a two-year contract but following the start of their 2017-18 season, the club and Serniotta have decided to part ways. It was announced following the departure of Serniotta that long-time Asseco Resovia coach, Andrzej Kowal rejoined the staff as head coach.

Kowal led Asseco Resovia from 2007-08 and again from 2011-17. In his time with the team, Kowal led Asseco Resovia to three Polish titles in 2012, 2013 and 2015, as well as a silver medal in the Champions League in the 2014-15 season.

So far this season, Asseco Resovia has accumulated an 8-5 record in 13 matches, sitting in sixth place in the league. They are sitting on the cusp of not making it to the playoffs, come the end of the season if they drop any further in the rankings. Up next, Asseco Resovia will take on MKS Bedzin who has a 5-8 record and sits in 13th place in the league.

Last season, Asseco Resovia finished fourth-place in the PlusLiga after losing to Jastrzebski Wegiel in the bronze medal match. They sit just behind Jastrzebski in the rankings, though they have a better record due to their set and point ratios.
