After holding down the No. 1 spot in the USA Today Super 25 for six weeks in 2017, including the last three weeks, Louisville’s Assumption, the Kentucky state champs, end the season in the top position.
The top seven teams stayed put from the Week 14 rankings. Archbishop Mitty moved from 18 to 8 after knocking off then No. 8 Mater Dei in the California state tournament open division. The remainder of the Top 18 dropped one spot to accommodate the move.
