The Final Four of the 2018 CEV Men’s Champions League is rapidly approaching, with the event organizers unveiling the official logo for the competition. The event will take place from May 12-13 and hosted by Zenit Kazan, last year’s champions.

The concept behind the logo is to bring out what unites everyone at the competition: volleyball. It looks at the fact that volleyball has been able to bring people together regardless of nationality, religion, age and any other social background issue. In essence, it is about the love of sports.

The logo derives from a key volleyball element – a flying ball. Within this image, it also represents an open palm as a symbol of people coming together around the sport in the spirit of unity and friendship. The outlines of the ball on the palm emphasize that volleyball means life for millions of people in Europe and around the world.

The logo’s color also has meaning behind them, with the blue at the bottom linking the competition with the official CEV Champions League logo while the purple symbolizes brightness of light and spring.

The competition just finished up the Playoffs 12 where the top 6 teams advanced to the Playoffs 6 that will begin on April 4 with the home matches.
