After a successful partnership last season, Chooks-to-Go will remain the Philippine Superliga sponsor for this upcoming season that is set to begin on February 17.
“The 2017 Grand Prix was a resounding success and did not only connect our brand to a new audience but also captivated our audience,” said Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. president Ronald Mascarinas to VolleyVerse.
The sponsorship helped the company reach a newer market that they were struggling to enter, a more youthful market. They were able to target the younger generation of volleyball fans through the Grand Prix in 2017 and hope to continue that trend for the coming season.
There have been a number of changes within Philippine Superliga teams in the offseason, as they prepare for the upcoming event, bringing in a large quality of foreign players to the league. Of the team’s that are bringing in a large number of players is Generika-Ayala. In the past few weeks, Generika-Ayala has brought in 5 players to help reinforce the team in the Grand Prix, including Darlene Ramdin, Katarina Pilepic, Ria Meneses, April Ross Hingpit and Bang Pineda. Not all are foreign players but the import of the players will surely help the team come time for the competition.
F2 Logistics has secured the return of their top players from last season in Venezuela’s Maria Jose Perez and American Kennedy Bryan. Last season, F2 Logistics won their first-ever Grand Prix title with Perez being named the MVP of the tournament.
