Conference Carolinas Tournament Field Set

The 2017 Conference Carolinas tournament field has been set with Barton earning the No. 1 seed in a tie-breaker against King (TN).

The Bulldogs (20-5, 16-2) and King (27-3, 16-2) shared the regular season championship. It marked the first Conference Carolinas men’s volleyball title for both teams.

Barton earned the No. 1 seed via tiebreaker and will face No. 8 seed Erskine (4-20, 4-14 CC) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18. Barton swept the regular season meetings (Feb. 3 and March 17).

No. 2 seed King (27-3, 16-2) will take on No. 7 seed North Greenville (8-18, 7-11). King took the regular season series, winning 3-1 on Feb. 22 and 3-0 on April 11.

No. 3 seed Mount Olive (16-9, 14-4) meets No. 6 seed Lee-McRae (10-16, 8-10).  Mount Olive swept the regular season contests (Feb. 18 and April 1).

No. 4 seed Limestone (12-10, 12-6) faces No. 5 Belmont Abbey (9-16, 8-10) in the final quarterfinal matchup. The teams split the regular season meetings, each winning at home. Limestone took the first meeting of the season 3-1 on Feb. 14, but Belmont Abbey won the rematch 3-1 on April 4.

All quarterfinals will be played on April 18 at the location of the higher seed.

The Final Four, which will be played at the highest remaining seed, will take place Friday, April 21. The championship game will be April 22.
