According to webindia123.com  four crude bombs were found in a volleyball court in Salkia, a neighborhood in Howrah, West Bengal, India. Police say the devices created panic among nearby residents and sport participants.

The crude bombs were found early Monday morning at the court on Sitanath Bose Lane. The West Bengal Police bomb squad was brought in to defuse the bombs.

This isn’t the first time that bombs have been found on the volleyball court. In May of this year, a teenager was injured by kicking what he thought was a ball on the floor, but ended up being a crude bomb.

There has been no other information regarding the situation provided by the West Bengal police thus far. There is no indication whether the police have a suspect in the case, or if it’s related to the incident in May.

This occurrence also almost mimics a very similar incident that happened state-side earlier this year in June where bombs were found on a Radford University intramural volleyball court in Radford, Va.

In that scenario State police assessed the situation and after a full investigation rendered the device, which police said was an improvised explosive devise, safe.
