2019 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT – MEN
Romania’s victory over Finland clinched them a spot in the 2019 CEV European Championships for the first time since 1996. The man of the match was young Adrian Aciobanitei. In a very tight encounter the 23-year-old outside hitter made the difference. He finished with a match-high 17 points on 12 kills, 2 blocks, and 3 service aces while also being Romania’s top passer in serve receive. Estonia’s win over Israel, and Greece’s victory in a tie-break over Azerbaijan secure their qualification. The qualification process will now go in hiatus until just after the new year when each team will play two more matches.
