Italy’s Vero Volley Monza has announced in its official website its full technical staff for the 2018/2019 season. Fabio Soli will head the team as its head coach, transferring out of Milano. The 38-year-old former player has amassed a lot of experience in the past years, working as an assistant in Modena and the Italian national team, and having led Turkey’s Fenerbahce, and Italy’s Sora, Ravenna, and Milano. He will be helped by Luigi Parisi, Giuseppe Ambrosio, and Luca Berarducci.

Here is Soli’s take on his technical team:

“I am sure that this staff will be able to work with great professionalism and generosity. The team has in fact built a group of excellent professionals that can make an important contribution from the qualitative point of view. It will be a long and rich year, where all the figures that make up this team will have a fundamental role. I saw great motivation and attention to detail already in this first phase of what will be the season. I can only be satisfied and happy to experience this first adventure between SuperLega and Europe with all of them.”

Soli finished in 6th place with Milano last season, sporting a 14-12 record. If he is able to reproduce such a record in Monza, it would be a vast improvement over the team’s 9-17 finish last season, just out of the relegation zone at 10th place.
